Improve a previously
existing website for a
brand, or individual
for both web and mobile
breakpoints. You should
provide enough visuals
to demonstrate what you
explained in your project
description. The prototype
should be fully interactive,
meaning micro-interactions
(hover effects, text
changes, transitions
between screens, navigation
animations) that apply
to the user’s expected
path are required. Micro-
interactions that aren’t
specifically part of the
path - but add value to the
experience - are encouraged.
Only your desktop/laptop or
mobile version needs to be
interactive.
CREATIVE SOLUTION:
Aidyn Fischli is a
journalist turned surf
photographer originally
from Charlotte, NC and now
resides in Oceanside, CA.
The underlying passion
that fuels both of her
creative outlets is a love
of personal and intimate
storytelling. This common
thread is what I chose to
emphasize as a unifying
message when considering
her new brand identity and
website. The prototype
features frame motifs around
images and videos that
symbolize the idea of being
physically transported into
a new story through her
work.
The experimental typography
and illustrated motifs
coincide with current surf
culture as Aidyn’s primary
interest, while the layouts
and navigation remain simple
and streamlined for new
and returning clients and
agencies.
