DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Design an engaging and
cohesive event identity
across media that announces
our 2026 Senior Show. It
must celebrate the Visual
Arts and Graphic Design
senior capstone work and
experiences. The design
must clearly inform, create
a call to action, and
capture the spirit of PLNU
and its graduates.
CREATIVE SOLUTION:
This campaign, with the
tagline “Labor of Love,”
was focused on the idea of
celebrating the remarkable
hard work of the artists
and designers in the PLNU
class of 2026. The quilt
primarily featured in
the poster is handmade,
and is intended to serve
as a visual symbol to
represent the enormous
efforts of fellow students
that remain unseen by
peers, family, friends,
and the outside world. A
quilt, often a symbol of
childhood or comforting
family memories, also
serves to evoke the same
feelings of bittersweet
nostalgia shared by the
class of 2026 as they close
a chapter of their time at
PLNU and prepare to embark
on a new one as creative
professionals.
